I think that is just a little bit extreme! I'm not a fan of the vaccine, I'm one of those if they get it we will take care of it type people, but purposely exposing them?? These kids are 2&3 years old. I know people do it, but I don't think I could take my children to catch the chicken pox!!!

They have done this for ages.. pox parties.

Better to get the vaccine.. no risk for shingles.

Yep. For many years. You can still get it even with the vaccine. My 14 y/o sister in law did when she was 4. She was purposely exposed to it. Not all of them got it and hers was an extremely mild case.

It's better for them to be exposed to it now than as an adult.

I don't get the vaccine, because they don't know if a female can pass along her immunities to her babysit for the first six months of their life if they get tje vaccine.

That's a stupid idea, children can DIE from chicken pox, it's rare but it CAN happen.
