Is it okay to put my baby in the swing and not buckle him in

While he is sleeping? I'm sitting literally tree feet away and I'm not leaving. I just can't hold him anymore right now. My back is killing me. Do you think it's okay? It's one of those free standing swing machines.

I never buckled mine it, but then again I never used after he learned to roll, so I suppose it depends on how old

How old is he? Why not just buckle him in? Even if he is not big enough to roll or anything yet I might worry that he would slide out or something. I mean if you are actually sitting there with him I do not see it as a big deal, but if you needed to get up for something or if you were gonna nap or something then I would buckle him in.

Yes lol … he's not squirmy and thankfully is a deep sleeper. I'd be sitting directly across from him so I'd watch hjm like a prison guard lol
