Holy freaking s***!!!

The past week I have had a cough that kept me up all night and pulled a muscle in my ribs from coughing. I go to the dr and they tell me I have brancolis (sp), they put me on a inhaler every four hours and a codeine cough med. Well I go to pick up my med and the cough med is 38 dollars!!! I have Medicaid but they don't cover the cough med. I had to pull together what little money I had. I had two use what cash I had, plus my husbands money for gas, the three dollars from child support. Now I am flat ass broke!
I would have over drawn my account but I did that when I rushed to New Jersey for my dads funeral. This is going to be a very long week.
I just pray that god doesn't give me anymore on my plate.

Maybe you should gotten some OTC cough meds until you were able to afford the other med.

Do you smoke? My mom used to get bronchial infections & now she has COPD. I know how miserable you must be feeling. Hope you feel better soon!

It's state medical coverage , different than Medicare which is for those 63 and older.

Lol the reasons she is on Medicaid isn't anyone's business .

Cause she's low income. My dh and I are both on it along with our kids.

 At least it was only $38. I'm on meds that are over $200 a month and not covered by our insurance.

Hope you feel better soon. And by the way, if it was bronchitis and you're not on antibiotics it can turn into pneumonia. If your Dr only gave you an inhaler and cough meds, I think you may need to get a 2nd opinion.
