I'll kill myself if my kid becomes an atheist. Not because of their lack of beliefs, but because they're usually sooo obnoxious. I don't want to deal with that.

Case and point, see above. They just can't help themselves.

I would tell them my opinion.

But then follow that up with reminding them they are an adult. They are more than capable of thinking for themself and having their own thoughts on this topic.
