I just got an automated phone call saying that their will be cops present at every school do to our local high school receiving bomb threats. Christmas break starts Friday and I think my kids will be starting their break early.

UPDATE: the person(s) involved in the bomb threat have been arrested. I just received another automated phone call. There was another threat of a shooting. They have also been arrested but all schools will be in semi kicking and the security will be doubled. This is freaking scary

Do your kids go to the high school in question? Why are all the schools using law enforcement when only one school was threatened?

It's sad how people take advantage of this tragedy. People suck

So, why are you keeping them at home? It was not their school that was threatened. Plus, the vast majority of bomb threats are made by students. It is very, very rare that a bomb actually goes off at a school.

Kind of stupid if you ask me, but whatever you feel is best.
