HELP! Adult onset acne? Anyone used aldactone?

Last few months I have developed deep painful acne along my jaw line. After doing some research I've come across it being treated with aldactone. Wondering if anyone has any experience with it?

Its for heart, liver and kidney disease!

Why don't you go to a doctor and stop diagnosing and treating yourself with the internet?!

Have you tried Proactive?  I'm 40 and that's the only thing that works for me.

It is used off label to treat acne. Yes I know it is a diuretic. It also blocks the formation of androgen hormone which causes acne which is why doctors will also prescribe it for acne. But thanks anonymous!  Just looking for anyone that had experience with it.

Try the oil cleansing method. It completely cleared up my acne.

My daughter was on it when she was in the NICU for fluid retention.

It's a diuretic but used off label for hormone acne.
