Odor Down South

I went to the Planned Parenthood Clinic hoping to find out why I have just recently been noticing I have some Odor Down south and I find out that They can only do Pregnancy/ Birth Control/STD testing  related things with me because of the funding. (I dont have insurance) That a "normal" pelvic exam would be $70.

Unfortunately I do not have $70

I was hoping someone had similar symptoms and could give me some insight as to what it could be.

The only symptom is a new odor.

its NOT fishy - its more like vinegar if I absolutely had to pick a thing.

no discharge, no pain, no isses with peeing.

The reason I noticed it was because I usually can wear my pants a few times before washing but now after wearing them once the crotch area has a slight odor so I have to wash them every time.

I do shower daily, dont douch (or however you spell it) and am sure I dont have STDs, and I only have one partner.

Thanks in advance for some kind advice.

Any changes in your diet recently? Some highly acidic foods can cause a sharp odor.

1 mom liked this

Are you sure it's coming from your actual vagina, like the inside?

maybe you're just sweating and it's your inner thighs, like the groin area.

Is there some reason you haven't googled this?

You may have a bacterial vaginosis. Nothing to be concerned about, not an STD, doesn't mean you're dirty or anything bad. It's just one of those things that can happen if the normal bacteria down there grows a little too much.

Unfortunately, antibacerial vaginal cream requires a prescription. It sucks that you will have to pay for a doctor's visit for something so minor. If you have a regular family doctor you may be able to call in with your symptoms and have them phone in a Rx to your pharmacy, but they may want you to come in for cultures.

Did you forget a tampon in there? I did that once--it smelled AWFUL. and there was tons of discharge trying to flush all the bacteria out.
