the patch?

It's almost time for me to get my Mirena removed and while I didn't mind it at first, I'm starting to dislike it at the end.

Do you use any form of patch birth control? Have you experienced bad side affects?
Could you recommend any type of of long term birth control besides natural family planning or the pill?

I was on the patch 10 years ago and it was horrible. I got pregnant on it and didn't even know I was pregnant until I was miscarrying. You can't "misuse" the patch.

I have the patch and I love it. Its the easiest to use by far that I have tried and beyond the normal libido tank that I always get with birth control, I have noticed no side effects. Been on it for years. I did hear that it got discontinued from a friend who was trying to get on it, but I havent had time to call my doctor to ask.

Where I live, the only place that prescribes the implanon is Family Planning. It scared me that no real gyno would do it, so I didnt bother. I was told that the couple of docs that used to do it stopped because they couldnt get it back out on most people.
