Would you allow your 4 year old.

To walk out the front door and wander the neighborhood alone? I would never, but my MIL was telling me about her mom allowed her to. And I've heard about a few other people who would. When would you consider it a good age for your child to go out the front door and play by themselves?

My boys are 4 and 2 and I let them play outside by themselves. Just in our yard though, not around the neighborhood.

No. I have a problem with dd (5) wandering the yard when I have to use the bathroom, sneaky kid! It freaks me out every time.

First of all, HELL NO! and second I'm sure when your MIL was a little girl things weren't as bad as they are now.
