Is your husband a jerk when you are sick?

Mine is. I have the flu, and so does my 15 month old and one of my 5 year olds. I feel like I've been run over by a truck. It's been 3 days now and my house is a wreck. Apparently I am the only one who can clean. Eventually he may get annoyed and pick up a bit but he will be sighing the whole time and complaining about how disgusting it is.He will take care of the kids and feed them, ect, but can't manage to pick a damn thing up. But if he gets sick, the whole world stops and he gets to lay in bed for 3 days.

I'd ignore the mess and the huffing and puffing until I was better.  I'd be in bed whether he liked it or not.  Mine will tell me to go lay down though and he completely takes over.

No, I'm lucky. Df will keep the house clean and take care of me.

I hope you feel better soon. The flu is going around like crazy here, and I just had to pick up ds from school because he says he's sick and he's running a temp

Unfortunately that is part of being a woman, life must go on... but god forbid a man gets sick, their world must stop and they must be nursed/babied back to health...

My husband is like that a lot. Sad thing is he's a SAHD/ part time student. I work 30 hours a week have to do all the cleaning and the kids are my responsibility when I get home.
