Well, the world didn't end...

It's been 12/21/12 for almost 8 hours in New Zealand and they're all still there with nothing going on...

So, for those who believe this world was supposed to end. How do you explain that we're all still here? What time zone did the Mayans say this would happen in?

The Mayan calendar finishes one of its great cycles in December 2012, which has fueled countless theories about the end of the world on December 21, 2012 at 11:11(UTC).

It's supposed to end 11:11 am Universal Time, so 3:11am for us in the Pacific.

Well the Mayans lived in and around Central America so I would assume they meant sometime during "their" day.  Which hasn't come around yet.  So I wouldn't count your chickens yet.  Although I don't believe the world will end tomorrow either.

Thats because in New Zealand it is supposed to be on the 22nd... get past that time and youre golden LOL.

The Mayan Calendar finishes one of its great circles in December 2012. Some believe this is a sign of the End of the World.

In Auckland this happens on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 12:11:00 AM.
