Question - do you consider Twilight to be demonic? Would or have you allowed your children to watch it?

What age do you consider appropriate to watch the movies?

Demonic, no, but they won't be allowed to watch them until they are able to fully separate fact from fiction in their minds. I'd say at least 12.

OK. I agree with you.

But I ask this because I recently took my 10 ½ year old to see the last movie in the theater, we've also seen the others. Anyway long story short my mother who tends to be hyper religious, flipped her shit when she found out we watched the movie. She believes its demonic, and will bring evil spirits into your home. Also that the movie has subliminal messages that are too demonic. I'm a big believer and Christian and don't agree with her at all. I really just wanted to see what other Christian moms thought as well. Personally I think my mother is nuts.

A mormon woman wrote the books, isn't that Christian?

I have enjoyed the Twilight series (and the Harry Potter series) myself, but I would be cautious about the age of children reading/watching them. Not because I believe them to be demonic, just because I'm a big believer in age-appropriate entertainment.

For what it's worth, Christians can't be possessed by spirits. Pretty sure the Holy Spirit doesn't like to share.
