im seeing all these "santa came" pics and theres like twenty and thirty presents under the trees. it makes me feel so much worse for my kiddos who are getting two whole measly presents. they deserve so much more, because they are fantastic kids, especially my four yr old. geuss santas gonna try to do better next year. i know "stuff" isnt the meaning of christmas, but i still wish i could give my kids everything they deserve. im ready for this holiday to be over, too much going on for it to be a good one.

I know it's tough. I'm sure they'll be happy with those gifts. I know it's to late now, but didn't you try toys for tots or churches or anything?

Most of the gifts under our tree are hand made, clothing, socks, etc. a couple of big gifts that we hunted down coupons, sales, discounts and put on layaway.. WE Didn't spend anywhere near full retail value for anything. It may look like a lot, but it's not. I start preparing and slowly saving/shopping for Christmas the day after, of not then the 1st of January. I got them clothing brand new from Sears for .50 cents during their major season end clearances. I also used every rewards program out there from Sears/KMart shop you're way rewards, Walgreen's rewards and Babies/Toys R us rewards. I didn't do any Christmas shopping in December, just ran out of tape and wrapping paper. I'm stocking up on those in the After Christmas sales when the dollar site by us have then 5 rolls of 50 ft fir .25 cents.
Our oldest first Christmas we were only able to afford two small gifts for him. We felt like the worlds worst parents. We made sure to budget better, save and so better. Coupon, price match, etc.
Don't beat yourself up, it happens, we've been there too. It's a humbling experience.
