SEND THEM OUT TO SHOVEL!! I always pay the wandering teenager $20-$30 to shovel my driveway out.  I haven't see one yet today. Get them off their butts, gear them up and send them down my way! Lol!!

So, having said this. Would you or Do you encourage your Teen to go out and shovel to earn $$$ during storms??

I don't have any teens-however I do have a 26yr old brother who's always offering his help with shoveling snow despite having a bad back

Well...mine are 18 & 20 now and they have learned to appreciate what they get and not complain.  As far as shoveling goes, they wouldn't know how..haha, we live in Louisiana.  No snow down here.

She isn't, but shoveling isn't an option bc we're in sunny FL. I had to shovel for free when I was a kid and we had a damn snow blower.

No. I kind of feel like it's the same as door to door soliciting, which I'm completely against. I suppose if they ran an ad where someone could call for them for that service it would be okay, but I don't encourage my kids to work just yet. I want their main focus to be school and their dad and I to be the ones to financially support the household and them.
