Did People Evolve From Apes?

Do you think so? Or do you think God created the Human Being?
I really wish people would read a damn book, watch a documentary... anything! Lol
Quoting PumpkinSpice8:
Exactly.
Quoting Anonymous:Oh hell. NO. We did not evolve from apes. We evolved alongside them. We share a common ancestor.
I believe in evolution. But we didn't evolve FROM apes. Just consider them a close relative lol.
Hahahah no. I don't believe in that theory either. Evolution doesn't mean that humans evolved from apes. They evolved alongside apes. Somewhere it split, and we went our merry ways.
Quoting Anonymous:so how did we get here? from another planet?
Quoting caito:We didn't evolve from apes nor were we created by a deity.
We shared a common ancestry with apes but do not come from apes. The lineage line branched, one side to become gorillas and chimps and the other into hominids who were the early human ancestors.
Quoting MyGirlsAbbyLiz:to the best of my knowledge humans are apes.
Humans are Homo sapiens.
i was watching a documentary--on how we evolved from apes, on the natgeo channel

evolution FTW!
also, brace yourselves. ignorant replies are coming.
I believe they both evolved from a common ancestor, hence why our DNA is so close.
I do not get those that go into the "why are apes still here then?" argument. Over the years, numerous species of animals once thought extinct were found alive and thriving in environments where there is little to no human contact. Many of these creatures were the early ancestors of more modern animals.
