Dd and I always go to the library twice a week. Our car broke down so now we have no way to get to the library. Dh gets home late and by then the library is closed. I'm looking to stock up on books so were always occupied. We don't watch a lot of tv. And reading really is best for her. Any ideas?

Goodwill, used book stores.
And sometimes the library sells their books for super cheap.

If you don't mind Kindle ebooks, try Amazon. Search by lowest price and you'll find some good ones for free.

Is your kiddo in school yet? Scholastic book club orders are a fraction of the price you will find in stores.

your library should have a "friends of the library" type sale that sells books cheaply - yes, it may require you to get to the library at least once

Paperback swap. You swap books online for credits and can use your credits to redeem books online. Only thing is you have to mail the books you've posted if requested and vice versa
