I didnt want to know with my kids, i loved it that way, i have a  boy and a girl and we always just got gender neutral stuff, its not an issue for us since our kids sleep in our room so no need for nurseries or stuff like that

Why do people want to know the gender of the baby?   You mean the baby's parents, I take it.

I think they like to have it settled in their minds, human beings abhore uncertainty, plus they like to go out and buy things for that gender, ahead of time.

Our third child, we waited until birth to find out the sex.

We ended up having our third son!
I loved waiting....it was a wonderful surprise.

Life doesn't grant us many surprises that bring that much joy! I'm glad we took that opportunity!

Quoting wkukid:

How?

Quoting bellaamore:

Its easier to buy the things you need and ask for things at a shower.

I knew the sex of my baby before the ultrasound.

Well, manyclothes are sex specific and you can find great sales on things like that. Unisex onesies and sleepers, etc are rarely on sale as they are sold in packs, and usually only at retailers like target and walmart.

EtA, did you mean knowing the sex? I dont know, i just knew.

So I could buy stuff in the appropriate color.
Lol.
I loved getting the confirmation that I could fill the room with pink frilly glitter stuff!
