How much money...

Do you spend on food per month?

How many people are in your family?

Do you buy mostly local/organic, processed, or generic foods?

How often do you eat out?

What are a couple meals in regular rotation in your house on this budget?

Too much.  About 800 a month for 3.  I don't buy organic, I do buy what is on sale, and I buy a wide variety of foods.  I'm trying to cut back but then dh complains there is nothing to eat.  I also meal plan but still I spend too much.

I am vegan, my husband and son are not. I don't buy anything processed or GMO or HFCS or similar, because we share some meals. About 50% of our budget is produce.

We spend about $400 a month on groceries total for the 3 of us

I spend about 500 a month this is 4 adults one teen and four cats! This includes paper and soap needs, I do costco with about 175 of that. I buy meat in bulk from a local butcher. I use a farmers market and I cook about 90% of our meals we may eat out once a month. And I make stuff my son can heat up (School at home) and that my wife and I can take for lunch and so can my roommates. I bake my own bread and try to do organic when I can
