These foodstamps just aren't cutting it!

We are a family of six and are receiving $672 a month in foodstamps. While that may seem like a lot to some of you, food is more expensive now and I can't get the foodstamps to last the whole month. I need some tips please!

Can you not buy generic brands?

I get ads from all the stores and compair food prices and normally save over 40 dollars by going to all the stores for the better deals. And meal plans even if you dont stick to it very much you should still have plenty of meals oh and by in bulk and cut yourself and store it the way you would use it

Dont buy junk food

Buy bone-in breast instead of boneless skinless. Half the price.

We are a  family of 6 and recieve $680 and after we do our monthly meal plan shopping we still have $150-180 left over for later needs like milk, eggs, bread, butter, cereal, and PB&J...What in the heck are you buying?

That's because you're suppose to supplement your own funds toward food and not only depend on the foodstamp money.

I usually shop at Kroger and we eat boneless chicken breast, steak on occasion, hamburger meat here and there and we like tacos, lasagna, chili....

You suck. The program is called SNAP, which means SUPPLEMENTAL nutrition plan. It is not designed to pay for all of your food. You are lucky you even get a dime. It is not the govt's responsibility to pay for your family. How you are unable to buy a months worth of groceries with almost $700 of "free" money is beyond me.

Cut coupons, buy generic, don't have anymore children.
