Homemade broccoli and cheese soup, black eyed peas seasoned with bacon. I've made this every year for 15 years ;o)

Then don't answer. There's no need to be a snot about it!its not like she asked for your address and soc sec number or something. No need to be bitchy.

I don't think that's any business of yours if I do or not.

Yes...it may sound weird, but we usually have Cornish hens (because they're sort of fancy and one of our favorites), blackeyed peas (for luck), some kind of potato, and cornbread (because it goes well with black eyed peas).

We boil cabbage with a penny from the old year to wash away the grime and prepare for a new year.  Then we eat cabbage and sausage and noodles!

Quoting RigPrincess85:

Mmm well when I lived in Canada my parents an I would always do a fondue night.

I've since moved to the US and my husband told me about having black eyed peas and pork for good luck. Never heard of that before so, we're having schnitzels, mashed potatoes, boiled cabbage and black eyed peas :)

My favorite is ham, scalloped potatoes, black eyed peas, and either fresh steamed broccoli or a spinach salad. Mmmm!!!
