That's what I was always told too. We always have to have pork, greens, black eyed peas, cabbage and corn bread. I hope your family has a very Happy New Year.

Yea... Greens (boiled together- rape greens, turnip and collard- then fried in lard), Pork Chops, Black Eyed peas and potatoes (usually mashed)... 


Typical in this area... Very unhealthy but a tradition.
