Do You Have A Special Dinner That You Make On New Years Day
Quoting BelleVernonGirl:Pittsburgh tradition is pork roast with sauerkraut and hot dogs with mashed potatoes...it's bad luck not to have pork on New Years!
That's what I was always told too. We always have to have pork, greens, black eyed peas, cabbage and corn bread. I hope your family has a very Happy New Year.
Quoting Anonymous:I don't think that's any business of yours if I do or not.
That's fine. You didn't have to answer my question.
We are a classy bunch
you as well!!!

Yea... Greens (boiled together- rape greens, turnip and collard- then fried in lard), Pork Chops, Black Eyed peas and potatoes (usually mashed)...
Typical in this area... Very unhealthy but a tradition.

Thank you. One person quoted me and said it was none of my business lol. I wonder why she answered my post.
