Long story short. Wednesday dd started having fevers. Thursday night it was 105. Friday I took her to the Dr. they said rsv. Saturday she had nosebleeds and coughed up blood. Took her to the er. They took an xray of her sinuses he was afraid she got a foreign body in her nose. Didn't see anything. Sent me home with augmentin and papers on acute bacterial rhinosinusitis. This morning fever was 105 not staying down long with Motrin and Tylenol. I brought her back. They xrayed her chest. He comes in ( same dr. ironically) says I'm really worried about her I think maybe she does have a foreign body that has traveled lower. Let me look at the xrays. As he is leaving mentions something about not knowing where to send her. Nurse comes in listens to her chest again leaves and hear her in the hall tell the Dr. That's not what I heard earlier. She just listened to her an hour ago. So here I sit waiting even mire worried now. Wtf kinda Dr. Leaves you hanging like that he could've checked the xrays first

he's convinced she has a foreign something in her system somewhere so tomorrow I have to go see a specialist in hutch at 1130 am. He says It's bad if that's it they will have to surgically remove it.

Find another emergency or urgent care place and get a second opinion.

I'm an xray/ct tech.
Unfortunately a lot of drs can't read xrays well. Some not at all.

So, they have to wait for the radiologists report to give a definite answer. The radiologist is the specialist fully trained and qualified to read xrays.
At my hospital, the radiologist report can take up to 2 hours to get back.

Her fever is under control now. If the specialist doesn't give me an acceptable answer we are making the extra drive to another hospital.
