I have a 7 year old boy, a 5 year old girl, and a 4 year old boy. I want us to start eating healthier and less processed foods. I am also limiting how much red meat we eat. my four year old is type one diabetic so this makes it even more important. the crunch and munch is veggie snack. would you consider this healthy? what changes would you make?

I'd watch the sodium in some of the things and make sure you drink water.im always starving if I drink my calories though and tend to eat more as a result

If it's an improvement to your/your children's current diet then great! Good luck!

look up childhood nutrition standards and serving sizes. you are missing a lot of key food groups or are not getting enough of some or too much of others. Red Meat has nutrients that we need in our bodies and if you are cutting it out you need to find the other sources of those nutrients so that you know that you and your kids are getting enough.

Same here.

I skimmed over it though and it sounds pretty healthy to me.

In the menu I have red meat 2-3 times a week. The rest of the time its fish, chicken, pork, ham and stuff like that. They will get fruits or veggies with every meal and bread no more then one or two carbs like bread or noodles a day. From what I have been researching and such that meets the number of servings per day in each group, doesnt it?

I don't think biscuits and gravy are healthy.  Other than that it seems semi healthy.

The first 4 meals of the day don't look too filling. Try adding some protein. At least to the breakfast. Keeps you full a bit longer.

I know those arent on the healthy side but the only way I got dh to agree to this menu was to allow his kind of breakfasts two days a week
