I pick it then I EAT IT

I suffer from a disorder called trichotillomania..

In short I compulsively pull my hair our and I enjoy staring at the ends and eating them. I also do this to my boyfriend who tolerates my behavior.

I am seeing a psychiatrist and I am on meds, but nothing really seems to help.

Ask me anything.

Thank you for the bump. I used to be quite ashamed of it, but after seeking help I feel a bit more open about it.. not enough not to go anon though.

People can. I do not know if I do, but its very likely. I may bring it up to my psychiatrist at my next visit. She knows about the compulsive pulling, but I do not think I have ever mentioned eating the ends as of yet.

Won't this cause any health problems?
Do they have you taking anything to help... I dunno, pass... the hair?
Does your bf not see any problem with it or is he just one of those people that realizes a person is more than their disorder?
Are you genuinely trying to stop?
If so, does your bf do his best to support you?
