WTF, Why are so many people in prison in the US??

I found this video very informative and just wanted to share. What are YOUR thoughts?

 That is a very easy answer. Because we treat addicts like criminals and not addicts. 6 out of 10 inmates are there for non violent drug offenses.  (Wrote that before I watched! But, thought I should watch so I wasn't getting tricked...lol)The murders and rapist are let out to make more room for non violent drug offenders. Big Pharma can't have all that competition and they pay politicians well to take care of they competition.. Also,  they didn't mention NY, the home of the Rockefeller Drug Laws? 14% of drug users are black. 93% of people in prison for drugs are black. That does not add up, anyway you shake it.
