Do you flush your tampons? **ETA**

If you use them of course. My aunt said i couldnt when i lived with her because she was on septic. Then i just read in the "embarassing" post about a stray tampon that landed on the floor after missing the trash. I didnt know people threw them in the garbage.
The box says not to flush the applicator.
I have not had my toilet clog in 17 years of living on my own from flushing tampons. Not saying it doesnt happen, just hasnt happened to me.

I am 47, have been flushing them my entire life, and have never had a problem. The only time I don't flush them is when there is a sign asking me specifically not to.
Someday I hope everything will dry up and this can all go away!! I've been looking forward to no more periods ever since they started.

Yes they are supposed to be and biodegradable like toilet paper. So yes I do.
Pads have plastic an are not biodegradable so you can't flush pads.

I tried the softcups and I thought they were horrid. Are Diva Cups any better?
I haven't tried those, but there is a big difference between the two, from what I understand. The soft cups are very VERY pliable and hard to get out. Diva Cup is made of silicone, so it's firmer and much easier to insert and remove. You still don't feel it when it's in though.
I love mine.
Sometimes when I'm alone, I like to Google myself.

I've been using the Diva Cup for two years now and I'll never go back to pads and tampons. Never ever. I love that thing.

I make earrings out of them and sell them on Etsy.
No, we have a septic tank they can cause the septic pump to fail. I don't want to risk it.
I have a septic tank and you can't flush them when you have a septic tank. My grandfather was a plumber and he told me some stories of when he would have to go on a job to take care of a spetic tank that was backed up due to women flushing tampons and a few from women flushing pads. It is the same with the flushable wipes we can't flush them here or it clogs the toilet and backs up...had that happen I use to buy them for my kids. I had to stop buying them cause my kids refused to throw them out and kept flushing them.
