Do you flush your tampons? **ETA**

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

If you use them of course. My aunt said i couldnt when i lived with her because she was on septic. Then i just read in the "embarassing" post about a stray tampon that landed on the floor after missing the trash. I didnt know people threw them in the garbage.

The box says not to flush the applicator.

I have not had my toilet clog in 17 years of living on my own from flushing tampons. Not saying it doesnt happen, just hasnt happened to me.

I used to.
I had no idea you weren't supposed to and we never had any plumbing issues until we moved to our most recent house.

Now I don't flush them. It's so gross but I don't want anymore plumbing problems.

Never. I dont know why someone would when it says right on the box not to.

Yes.  Every brand I've ever used clearly says it is ok to flush.  I've been flushing them for 20 years, never had an issue.

Ive seen this reason a lot, i agree, if my pipes clogged from flushing tampons i wouldnt. But Id be scared to shit in a pipe that cant handle a little tampon.

Quoting ttsjam:

flush them at my house and a week later my pissed off husband is going to be outside with the snake pulling them out of the pipes!

lol I flush them in public restrooms...restaraunts, bars, the movies etc because the toilets are more powerful, but not at home for fear they might clog up the toilet :0
