Have you ever used it for punishment? roman chair is when the childs back is against the wall arms are held out in front of them and legs are bent in a sitting position

Yes! I used to put my son in time out and he would wiggle around in the chair and be obnoxious...so i took the chair away. lmao. He stopped what he was doing REAL quick.

I have used it.  It has become a more effective way of using time outs for an older child.  My son is 9 and sitting/standing in a corner is boring and when hes done he just comes back and argues some more.  We call them wall sits, but if hes being a realy buger I'll have him do a few minutes.  It makes him focus on something other than his crappy attitude.

Sure. It is called attitude adjustment. The pain would be a strong reminder of what attitude is unacceptable.
