How are you doing? I'm on day 5 today, so I guess I'm doing okay. I had a meltdown last night; I was in tears. Where did THAT come from??? I mean, I'm not like that at all. Today I just feel...sad. I keep telling myself to hang in there. Hope you are doing good.

I'm doing not so bad. I had surgery on Saturday and was very emotional and the first thing I wanted was a cig but I didn't :).

As an ex-smoker I know how difficult this can be. There are people who can quit easily and people who cannot, but it is not impossible. I was one of the ones who could not do it, tried NRTs but I always kept on going back to smoking during stressful situations. I smoked one pack a day for 32 years and my addiction was set into my lifestyle and glued to my dailly life in a way that I could not shed it; As much as I grew to hate everything about smoking, the smell, the coughing, the shortness of breath, etc., etc. I thought I was hopeless. Then one day, I discovered electronic cigarettes, I tried it for three weeks while still smoking but instead of one pack a day, each time I vaped, I had one cigarette less. The electronic cigarette I bought didn't work too well, but still it helped wean me off smoking. Gradually, I smoked less and less until I quit, for good and I'm never going back. My new lifestyle involves exercise. I now jog about 10-12 miles a week and feel great and yes, I'm a vaper. At my age, which I won't mention here, I can say I'm in better shape than I have ever been and I feel great too. Buy yourself an NJoy King disposable electronic cigarette for eight dollars, available at any 711 Mart and keep it with you at all times, in the event you have a stress moment, just vape that instead of falling into buying a pack of cigarettes. I wish you the best of luck and anybody else who is reading this who wants to quit, know, that you can do it and just like you, there are thousands of people out there who were in your same predicament who have succesfuly done it, using electronic cigarettes. Just google ECF forum and get help there.
