oddly enough, water and stretching has helped me.  i quit before ttc then picked it back up.  then i got the bfp and said, "thats it" but had a lot of trouble with it!! still do im sad to say.  at most i'll smoke half a cig on the way to work... thats the worst for me.  i KNOW that NOT smoking at all is the only way to stop the cravings but every morning i think about work and get close to a panic mode. (bad, i know)

right now its almost 1am and im stressing over work, my dr appt tomorrow, the potential for a new position at work... the fact that im still awake haha.  but i cant give in twice in one day, so i wont...

good luck, its def possible!!! i also used the patch when i quit for several months... it helped first deal with the actual smoking THEN the nicotine withdrawal

Because you will die from your children sooner if you keep smoking.

It gets easier. You'll feel better. You'll have more energy. Food will taste better. You won't have that pervading smokey smell lingering in your hair, clothes, and fingers. You will be less likely to get cancer. Your kids will have a better role model and be less likely to smoke. Etc...

Hey I have this awesome list of good info for you- about cravings and withdrawal symptoms and how long they last. DH and I are trying to quit and the list REALLY helps me feel like I can do it.... cuz all the withdrawal symptoms are short....like "Okay this only lasts 3 days. I can do three days." etc....

Former smoker here. I've started and stopped so many times. Cold turkey worked best, keep your hands busy, I also chewed on straws. If I can do it you can too!

Suck it up buttercup!!! You've got this. Don't mess up those 8 hours for nothign mama! You need to kick the habits ass, not the other way around. Tomorrow and the next day will be tough too but for me (smoke for 11 yrs quit for a year then picked it back up for 2 more) Day four always started a decline in the intensity of cravings.

YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!

Oh god yes, The FOOD!!! I had never tasted chocolate, not really Until I quick smoking. I picked it up at 11 so most of my life was spent tasting stuff through the tar and all that other crap. I never really *enjoyed* having a meal until I quit and now I love to sit down at meal time and actually ENJOY what I'm tasting.
