leasing or purchasing new vehicle?? which way do i go??

How many miles do you drive per year and how often do you buy a new car?

in the past ive averaged about 15k to 20k a yr and this is the first "new" vehicle we will have bought, weve bought used ones every couple of yrs or so. the mileage will probably be less since we are no longer taking regular road trips. so id estimate between 10k and 15k.

Depends on how much you plan to drive and where you live. I live in NYC and we lease all of our vehicles, because between potholes, assholes knocking your car when you park, psycho bike messengers, and all the other hassles of the big city, it's not worth it for us to buy.

Purchase that way you don't have to worry about going over miles or doin anything else u might get penalized for with a lease

I would never lease. It's a form of theft! lol 

I would drive what I could pay cash for. I just faced the decision over the weekend wether to fix my paid-for car or trade it in. I spent the $1200 to fix it. I am hoping to get another 1-2 years out of it. I could afford a car payment, but WHY? The $1200  I spent to fix this car is what, 4 payments on a new one?

My plates and insurance would jump dramatically on a new car too.... GL

it depends if you plan on getting  anew car every 3 years... if so then lease.. if not then buy.

growing up we always leased... i wanted to lease and DH should have listened, because my car is 4 years old and its time for a new one.  but we own this car outright...
