People here talk about it being so trashy

How does knowing how to improvise make me trashy?

If something horrible happened and we all lost everything...I would know how to feed my children and survive.

Would you?

There would be no store you can go buy food, water or supplies

You would be on your own

I love country life. I grew up on a farm and we raised 90% of what we ate. We even made our own butter. Yep, we would survive.

I ,for one, dont think country is trashy. I admire the ability to live of the land and make do. My kids are all into DIY. Im a city girl by birth, but a country girl at heart. Win I win the lotto, Im going country.

I love living out in the country. My house is clean, my kids are taken care of, I pay my bills...I don't see how living in the country automatically makes one trashy.

I grew up in suburbia with no interest in the "country life", then I met my farm boy husband and he has introduced me to so much fun stuff! I would have never thought I would enjoy trail riding atv's but I LOVE it. And I am learning a little bit of mud, never hurt anybody. He is turning me lol. Growing up his families big trip was always in February to the farm machinery show, I was amazed at how freaking much a tractor, combine or whatever costs.

 Im from the country and I like it that way.
I can grown a Garnden
Raise cattle
Change a flat
and know how to use any tool you hand me.

does that make me trashy? No I think that makes me a little bit more in tune with the world. I can take care of my self and my child if it ever came to it.

Speaking in general, I look at being country as a little trashy. It's just the type of people I've been exposed to. I'm not country, yes I'd be able to survive should something horrible happen.
