Am I being hormonal, or would this comment upset you too?

I made stew  tonight. A big pot of stew that would feed probably close to 10 people.  So I went to make myself a bowl and my husband says to me " don't eat it all.. I would like some for tomorrow".  So yeah that upset me!  How could he think I would eat all that?  There is no way.  I told him that it hurt my feelings, and he laughs and said I was being ridiculous. That he didn't mean it like that.  But how else could he have meant it?  What would you think he meant if you were in my shoes?

I wouldn't be offended. Especially since me and SO make fun of each other by calling each other fat all the time.

Your are being hormonal.  His comment was more of a compliment.  He liked your stew so much he wants to make sure he has lots to eat tommorrow.

lol are you pregnant? You sound like me. I'm 20 weeks pregnant and EVERYTHING my boyfriend says I take the wrong way. I cry all the time over absolutely nothing. I'm sure I'm driving him nuts because I'm driving myself nuts lol

I wouldn't have gotten upset. I would've taken it as a joke and replied back with something snarky.
