Did you and your family move to another state? How much did you save before you moved? How long did it take you/SO to find a job? Do you think it was a good decision?

no we almost did. We bought a home to be built in another state. 9/11 happened 2 days later. Our home didn't sell. 60 days later they refunded our downpayment. We were lucky.

Surround yourself with people that add to your life not subtract from it.

We did it twice. First hubby retired from active duty and we moved to where his family was. Then we moved back to my hometown 4 yrs later.

My family moved from California to Las Vegas......it was a spur of the moment thing...hubby lost his job and we only had his last check.......my parents lived in Vegas, so we lived with them for a little bit until we both foundjobs and a decent house.......at first I thought it was a terrible idea....but now we're doing so much better her than in California.......so now I know it was a good decision....

We did it once before eight years ago and only did do because my husband already had a new job.
We are doing it again this summer. My husband has another new job and we will be joining him after our daughter's bat mitzvah this summer.

I can't imagine nothing without the safety net of a job.

we just moved between states in April of last year. We didnt save anything, just went. It was kind of a split second decision and it was the best thing we have done. We got jobs right away (they are easy to find here and my license allows me to be self employed).
