We can't claim our children on taxes anymore???

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

My husband just told me that this is the last year we can claim our daughter on our taxes because the deal the government made over that whole fiscal cliff is that parents can't claim their children on taxes anymore.

Lol you can still claim your kids. If your dh is going to believe everything he hears, I suggest getting a tax advisor to help you file.

You might want to go to H&R Block to have your taxes done. Your hubby may screw it up. lol no offense

Rub your husband's shoulders, smile sympathetically, say "yes dear, that is awful", then for the love of all that is holy do NOT let him do your taxes.

I have 4 and never claimed any of them until my 2011 return and was amazed at the difference.  I went from getting $200 back to getting $4,000+ back!
