Today Is My Three Year Anniversary Of When I Quit Smoking.

Posted by   + Show Post

It has been hard, but I'm not going back. I can't ruin all that time I have put into it. If anyone used to smoke, how long has it been, since you quit?

Happy Anniversary to you!  Good job!!

Today is the anniversary of the day I was expelled from my mother's uterus.

ETA:  I quit over 15 years ago after smoking for 5 years.

Thank you and congratulations to you too. I smoked for thirty seven years between over a pack to two packs a day. My son finally made me know that I couldn't hurt him anymore, so somehow I quit cold turkey three years ago.

I have been smoke free since April 26, 2012. I am afraid I will go back after my son is born.

Good for you!  That's so hard to do!  I had tapered off to one or two a day and then just said, "Well, I might as well just do this thing."  Bam.  lol.

How did you quit? I want to but I'm not sure what the best way is to quit

Yay! It's been a year for me. The smell of cigs makes me gag now, thankfully. It was rough! DH quit with me 3 years ago and did great, I struggled for 2 years with it. He was the one who grumbled about quitting lol. Congrats!

I have 13 cigarettes until I'm done.. Wish me luck.

Good Luck to you. It's hard, but you can do it. Tell yourself how much you want to live for your family. That's what finally made me do it. My son kept begging me to quit and keep living for him. I smoked for thirty seven years, but I finally had to quit for my son. I told him that I was going to smoke for one more day and them I quit cold turkey for him. Keep me posted. I'm on here a lot, and if you need someone to talk to that you know has been through it, I'm right here. I wish you all the luck in the world. I wish you and your family a very happy 2013.
