I'm scared!

So, I got married right out of high school, had a baby a year later and I've been a sahm this whole time. I've only had one job in my whole like (I'm 26) and I stopped working when I was 18..
Well now my dd is in school dh thinks I should get a job, I'm ok with that, we aren't broke, but extra money never hurt anybody. Plus it'll be nice to make new friends.
I'm just scared this is going to be really difficult! I guess this was just a vent, thanks for reading ladies.

You'll do just fine. It's a great way to keep busy so you don't go crazy :-)

Crazy...i do too. Idk, I found that having a job led to socialization that I hadn't known I missed. Just try to think positive, a job isn't the end of the world...it's a life experience

I think it's great that you are going to get out there and get a job. I have been a SAHM for 30 years, I've had 2 part time short term jobs in my whole life! I sometimes wonder now if I'd even be able to get any kind of job if I needed to. I am all for being  a SAHM, but I do think there should be some kind of back up plan, or some education or training for later.

I think that's a great idea! Maybe you could take out some student loans.
