It is not reverse racism.

Posted by   + Show Post

It's just flat out racism.  People are racist to white people.  It happenes, a lot actually.

There I said it. Bash away.

*edit to add*

Me being irritated that I was taught in school, and my son has been taught that racis, towards white people is not in fact racism but "reverse racism" like, we are some race-less people who are free game does not in fact make me a racist.  I hate racism of all types.

Quoting Anonymous:

Do you mean historically black, if so white people and people of other races attend also.

Quoting AleaKat:

All black college= yay equality

All white college= racist bastards

Overcompensating for one side doesn't make it equal .

Quoting 428pm:

you need to pick up a history book, please.

Calling attention to people's wrongs are what makes it stop.

Emphasizing racial inequalities or biases is the only thing that keeps racism alive.

No, it just makes people more bitter. It's human nature to defend your actions when called out. Very few people actually change when called out. Just like children. The more you ignore their bad behavior and make them realize that it's not going to get them attention the faster the behavior stops.

I'm very educated, thank you. Just trying to give you some food for thought.

I understand what your point is with the racism, but I have NEVER found ignoring a bad behavior in a child successful! A bad behavior must be addressed and dealt with if a solution is to be found.

I've never understood why people call it "reverse racism".

It's really terrible though, I live in Alabama and in high school, kids kept getting suffled between the three schools because there wasn't a high enough "black" population in two of them. They would rezone so that the schools were 60% "back" other wise it was "seperate but equal". Meanwhile, one of the schools was 99% "black". Which of course wasn't racist at all.

I tell people that I am racists towards racists people or those who discriminate.

If someone dislikes another person just based on nationality/skin color/gender/sex preference/ religion

then I guess I am racists towards them. lol  Because I can not stand their ignorance.

Sometimes the best answer is to ignore. Whining? Ignore it and they realize it will not get them anywhere. Of course I'm not talking about something dangerous like running into the street lol.
