COULD You...

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post
Take an additional person into your home? To feed, cloth, etc.

Let's say fostercare went bankrupt and all kids would be displaced.... And would be killed if they couldnt find a home for them in 30 days. (Something crazy drastic.)
Could you afford to have another mouth to feed?

DH, and I moved into my mom's house with her so they wouldn't foreclose on her...well we are paying all utilities and all groceries as well as all our bills and a few of hers... so yes, since we already have. May I add, it's VERY annoying because the house is NOT big enough for all of us. Well it is but doesn't feel like it is.

As long as I felt that my child(ren - eventually) would be safe, and that the new addition would not pose any kind of a threat to my family, I would be happy to welcome another child into my home.

I would probably only be comfortable with a child 10 or younger, anything with an unknown child approaching puberty amongst my own children would make me uncomfortable, because you never know. If I saw a portion of the child's upbringing and felt as though I could trust their behaviour, I would feel a little better about it.

Yes. It may not be completely comfortable but we could make it work.

Yes, for sure.  I don't have tons of money, but in that situation I would find the money!  If I cancel my internet and satellite I am sure I could feed and clothe someone.
