If you were a landlord would you rent your property to someone who has a section 8 voucher?

If you are currently a landlord do you or have you ever rented for section 8?

I just want to see what people think in general about section 8 tenants. I've been looking for a single family home to rent that will accept a section 8 voucher and it seems impossible. I've emailed landlords and even offered them to come to my current residence so they can see I keep it clean and nothing is broken or damaged.

Probably not. My old landlord used to accept section 8 vouchers or whatever and they were the worst neighbors in the world. Thank God his son took over and stopped.

My sister rents to section 8. It pays on time every month guaranteed. Shw will have to repaint and replace carpets when they move but that't to be expected at most rentals.

Maybe. I have seen some nasty ass people on Section 8. They never take care of their house/apt and really just trash the place. I have also seen some really nice people on Section 8 that are just down on thier luck and still respect other peoples property.

I've never known anyone with section 8 assistance so I have no idea if I would or not... I guess I'm sheltered.

I suppose it would depend on the family. The good thing about Section 8, is it is guaranteed money paid on time every month

No I would not do sec 8 that's just personally not something we would want to deal with when leasing out our home

If it guaruntees that I'm going to get paid every month, then yes.
