I hate when parents say "my child will only...."

"my child will only eat McDonalds chicken nuggets"

really? Does your child have a car and drive themselves to McDonald's and purchase their own chicken nuggets? Oh? you drive there and buy them well! I wonder why it's all that they eat!

Or

"my child will only poop in a diaper"

really your child goes and gets diapers from the store put them on and poops in them? try not having any diapers and taking that option away! Duh! (special needs aside)

I agree with you completely.

So the kid doesn't eat dinner for a night or two because you won't fix chicken nuggets (or whatever else crap he/she is fixated on).  They won't starve!

And "they'll only wear x" - um YOU are the parent.  Enforce your rules, and if they cry - hey, they'll get over it.

Lol, I agree with the first one. If my son decided he would only eat CRAP I'd say tough shit. It's my job to make sure he is healthy.

I never had any potty training issues... but I could see why it would be hard to not give in to the diaper to let them poop. Kids will seriously constipate themselves if they aren't comfortable pooping in the toilet.

I have a friend that says her kid will ONLY sleep at home so they plan their entire life around making sure they are at home for her nap.
If you keep giving into it it'll never change!
Mine are fine with sleeping on the car, in my lap.... Wherever!

The food I agree with you.

Diapers, well... When my dd was potty training, she wouldn't poop in the toilet, even after I took away diapers. Putting her on the toilet didn't work. She would hide and poop herself.

But yes, I get what you mean. Our job is to teach them. We shouldn't be lazyy and let them run the show, no matter how stubborn they are.

I can't plan lunch plans with her cause her life stops between 11-2.

Who cares?  How does it affect your daily life? Worry about yourself.
