For those bipolar, please answer this for me. Thanks.
When you were first diagnosed did they make sure you were on a certain sleep schedule before working on any new meds? Anyhow, I am supposed to be asleep during the dark hours(when our body produces the melatonin). My first appointment with a shrink was talking, second was diagnosis, the third and the following appointments have been about what time I go to bed. I have been trying but when I have a baby who is 7 months ...between the teething and such it hasn't been easy. I have been trying to scale my dd back and it looks like I may just have it down(as she is not in any teething pain at this time). That is beside the point. Anyhow, they want to know what is going on with my sleep and how it affects my moods and now I have a chart to fill out that has( exercise, eating, etc). I just want to know how standard it is. I am on depakote and I believe I am doing better before meds but I feel that I could benefit from something else. What has been your experience?
Eta: I do get enough sleep btw. I am told I have to be asleep during dark hours. I am wondering if there is a eye covering that would help.
