Starting to get really mean :/ He quit about 6 days ago. We haven't fought in a few weeks, but he is just being nasty to me. Anything I say to him he has to shoot back with a mean comment.

Is this something that is normal for people that are trying to quit smoking? Will is go away?

It is normal...it will go away. Just tell him to breathe. It isn't easy.

My FIL tried to quit a few years ago and no one would go around him. He was unbearable. Unfortunately he started smoking again because he couldn't take it anymore.

yupp, its normal. while i dont think its fair you should have to deal with a mean dh, it will pass. and it is whats best for him, you and your family in the long run!! you need a healthy dh. just try to patient and supportive and ignore him being an asshole lol

Totally normal. It is a VERY hard thing to do. My best advice is to try to not be around one another for a couple of weeks. The cravings suck and stupid little things can set you off.

Yes, it is. He is going through withdrawal. Just try to be patient with him and give him his space right now. It will be worth it in the long run.

It's normal.  It should go away after what seems like an eternity (probably a few weeks)...but don't let him use that as an excuse to be an ass.  Make sure he knows you expect it to end soon.  Keep supporting him so he doesn't start again.

Yes. It's part of the withdrawal process. Give him time it will pass.
