I'm not a feminist by any means... but isn't that a bit.... odd?  

also.... king, broad shouldered, manful, manlike, manly, masculine.  It obviously lists other words, that just surprised me.  (absolutely no mention of predominantly female traits, let alone flat out saying it)

Isn't it a masculine word in other languages?  Like ones with masculine and feminine words?  I'm not actually sure but maybe thats why?

It's because for so many years they were considered synonymous. Thesaurus entries are based on connotation too, not just definition.
