you're a nanny, but your husband earns 200k a year?

What does her husbands income have to do with her career choice?

I make 52,000 a year not including extras like when she gives me gas money.

I do claim it but as self employed which means I pay an assload in taxes, last year it was over 15,000 I had to pay because I went that route.

Quoting Anonymous:

How much do you get paid?

Does your employer have taxes and such taken out of your check or are you supposed to handle reporting your income and paying taxes on your own? (and if so, do you claim the income?!)

Do you like being a nanny? Is it difficult or rewarding or a little bit of both?

Yes but it's rare. 99% of the time I love my job. I'd say the worst was when the youngest was a baby. From the time he was 3 months until he was a year he would scream for 10 hours a day almost every day. I would be in tears ready to quit but I stuck it out because I loved that little guy and his sister and I'm so glad I did.

Are there days you hate your job?

Extremely hard. In a couple years my fianc├ęs work will transfer us to Korea for 2 years and I'm looking forward to the adventure but dreading not seeing my buddy and my Girly every day.

I made the mistake a few months ago of telling the oldest that one day I wouldn't be her nanny and that I would move away. Poor thing she was inconsolable and it broke my heart :(

Just curious how hard it will be to eventually leave the family. Have always wondered how difficult it is.

I am a former nanny, I currently work at a daycare.

What made you choose to become a nanny?

Does your lo go to work with you? If not who takes care of your lo?

Does the family you work for have nanny cams?

Is this the only family you have worked for? If not how many others have you worked for?

lol it isn't very often that I see someone else in the same career field that I am in. It's nice to see :)
