Natural remedies for earache?

Anyone have anything tried and true for me? I've got a very painful earache. Since it's the weekend I can't see my doctor until Monday.

I looked online and saw lots of different home remedies, including sleeping with a garlic clove in my ear and putting coconut oil drops in my ear.

Help, if you can! IB profin isn't touching the pain.

This sounds crazy but really works. Get a potato, prick a few holes in it with a fork. Microwave for 6 mins.  take it out and wrap in small hand towel. Sit (this is important do NOT lay down) hold potato up to ear. Repeat as needed. The heat helps the fluid drain and takes away the pain.

THis also works with a thick coffee mug that has a clean washcloth in it that is very wet but not drippy. I was going to suggest the same thing. I had an earache and it was clogged up. I did this (with the mug) every few hours and the next morning I woke up with my ear draining.

If there is a health food store open you can see if they carry Wally's ear oils. If not just garlic oil works as well. For an adult i would say four drops every four hours. Make sure to apply a warm compress to your neck and massage the tubes that run from your ear down the sid pof your neck. Small circular motions working your way down.

It needs to drain... put something warm/hot on your ear.
