She's NOT pregnant!

Did you know ERs automatically run pregnancy tests on anyone that is of menstruating age, under 55? The nurse told me that today, after he informed us that my daughter isn't pregnant. LOL She's 12; I wasn't worried, not did I ask. I was surprised when he explained the rules to me.

Me, too! He told me it can get awkward when a minor turns up pregnant, as they have to tell the parents. LOL

I always hate it because I don't even have a uterus! It's like WHY are you charging me for this test?!

Yeah, even if you tell them there's no way you could be pregnant because you haven't had sex in 7 months and you're having your period right then and they've already poked and prodded all around your abdomen. $200 I couldn't afford just for a stinkin test I said I didn't need.

ETA And I have my tubes tied (which I know isn't 100% guaranteed), and then it turned out to be a kidney stone.

Not always.

I've gone to the er multiple times for broken bones and they ask if I'm pregnant and when my last period was but never draw blood or make me pee in a cup.
