My friend found out she was pregnant a little over 1 week ago and today she started bleeding and cramping, is this normal?

Slight bleeding or spotting is normal. I had what I thought was a period (obviously not!) when I was first pregnant. I was cramping and bleeding like I would have if I was on my period. It just happens sometimes. But it is a good idea to get checked out.
