If you and your husband have been arguing for awhile and you text him that you love him and he responds with "luv u to" Would you be slightly irritated that he couldn't even take the time to text out a true I love you.

No that is how we text.  It all means the same thing why does it matter if he shortened it or typed it all the way out?  Does it change the meaning?

To me it kinda does. We've been in a very serious argument lately and the fact that he didn't type it just kinda hurts ya know. That is not how we text.
