Why are there so many divorce nowadays?  Don't people think about the meaning of "till death do us part" when they make their vows any more?

Part of it is because it's no longer such a social death sentence, which is good for those who are victims of abuse or serial adultery.

Women can make their own money and don't have to put up with cheating and abuse the way that they used to.

Life is too short to be unhappy. I divorced my husband and it was the best decision I ever made. I am so happy now : )

I honestly think there are more unstable people out there. I divorced an alcoholic who wouldn't change and treated me and his kids like crap.

Why are there so few dictionaries left? It's really depressing.

Apparently my ex missed out on the "forsaking all others" part. Which is why he had 14 affairs(that I know of) in our 7 year marriage. And then there was the gambling addiction and putting our bank account $2k in the hole. Oh, and the alcoholism that he admitted to but refused to seek treatment.

So yeah.....I finally had enough and said fuck "til death do us part". Otherwise I would have had to kill him.
